Artistic Photographs With Authentic Memories That Tell The Story Of Your Day

I love photographing weddings. The anticipation and excitement of the day. The extravagant and sometimes gloriously outrageous outfits. The smell of fresh flowers. The special bond I make with my clients. The emotional response to true love and of course the adrenalin! I feel very strongly that in order for good photographs to be created people need to "click" with their chosen photographer. This is why I like to meet with my prospective wedding couples to show them some more of my work and album design and discuss their wedding plans but most importantly to check that they feel I am the photographer they want to share their special day with. Once a connection has been established the engaged couple and myself will meet somewhere picturesque for a pre wedding photo shoot. This is invariably in the grounds of where the reception is to be held or somewhere they might like to stop off, like the moor or sea to have some bridal photographs on the big day. I find this experience often allays any fears of being photographed especially when they see the beautiful images we have created together. It also gives us another good chance to get to know each other better over a coffee as we finalise our wedding photography strategy.

With regard to the big day itself I am very much a reportage photographer, capturing candid moments as they happen. My philosophy is to create real time photographs that have authentic special memories attached to them. I encourage the bride and groom to enjoy their wedding safe in the knowledge that I will record the emotions, connections, events and the details that made their day so special. From the jittery groom before the ceremony, to the mother of the bride's tears of joy as the happy couple share a moment that seems to transcend this world. My endeavour is that nothing will be overlooked. A well crafted image will conserve those decisive moments forever. It will hold on to the spirit and glamour of the event, reviving all the details, long after they would otherwise have been lost.

After the wedding I enhance the images and upload them to a password protected gallery where you can select your favourites and share them with myself and others. Next I design a Jorgensen bespoke album that tells the story of your day. Jorgensen are one of the world's finest wedding album manufacturers. They allow us total freedom of expression over cover styles and page options and the finished album will be handcrafted in Australia.
The product of our shared efforts is wonderful heirloom overflowing with happy memories, emotional connections and the details that are the result of much wedding planning.

Think you might like me to photograph your wedding? Get yourself a glass of something nice and "click" on slideshow in my wedding galleries and see for yourself the consistency of the photography throughout the whole day. Then why not take a peek at my guestbook and see some of the feedback I have received. Like what you see? Give me a call or send me an email I would love to chat about whether I am the right photographer for you.

Composition must be one of our constant preoccupations, but at the moment of shooting it can stem only from our intuition, for we are out to capture the fugitive moment, and all the interrelationships involved are on the move. - Henri Cartier-Bresson
