We have some very talented chefs here in Devon & my mission is to show off their foodie creations through photography. The bonus of this area of my work is that I often get to sample the dishes...the only problem is knowing when to stop! Food photography & a beach body do not marry well!
Last week I tasted & photographed the new menu at The Bedford Hotel Tavistock. Whilst part of the menu remains traditionally English with Asian chef Raoul Ketelaars there is an unique twist to many other dishes on offer.
First up were these intriguing Thai Crab Cakes with lime curd, chilli, coriander, peanut and coconut foam!
Next was the classic British winner...Sirloin Steak with triple cooked chips, confit tomato, field mushroom & onion rings!
The Bedford is somewhere you need to make sure you have room for Dessert...especially Dark Chocolate Fondant with praline, honeycomb, milk chocolate and malt ice cream!

The week only got better as the next day I did it all again but with Chef Mike Palmer at The Two Bridges Hotel! What a Bake Off! Hence, the weekend was mostly spent walking up Tors!
